[CES 2018] Lenovo Mirage Camera unveiled at CES Live 180 degree VR video

At the CES exhibition officially opened today, Lenovo launched the point-and-shoot Mirage Camera for 180-degree VR video broadcast. The biggest highlight of this camera is the front of the fuselage is equipped with two fisheye lens, able to record wide-angle 3D video.

Although photos and videos taken can be stored locally, Lenovo and Google cooperate to recommend users to upload to Google Photos and YouTube. In addition to regular viewing, users can also wear VR head-mounted display devices.

The Mirage Camera employs two 13-megapixel sensors capable of capturing 4K video at 30fps, allowing users to broadcast live on YouTube via a WiFi network (Lenovo said it will also launch a version of the LTE cellular network).

The user can view the captured video through the Android or iOS companion application, but can operate independently of the mobile phone after completing the basic settings. If the user chooses to save the shooting content locally, it has 16 GB of internal storage space and supports MicroSD card expansion.

The retail price of this camera will not exceed 300 US dollars, plans to go online in the second quarter of 2018. The Mirage Solo VR machine built by Lenovo and Google, retail price does not exceed 400 US dollars.
