5, 8 lights, as long as 1, 2, 3, 6 lights, the network cable can be used, because the data is transmitted through the four lines, the other four lines are not used to transmit data.
There are two criteria for the order of the network cable:
1: T568-B standard, the order is orange white, orange, green white, blue, blue white, green, brown white, brown.
2: T568-A standard, the order is green white, green, orange white, blue, blue white, orange, brown white, brown.
The first standard is generally used.

Straight-through connection test: When testing the straight-through connection, the indicator of the main tester should flash from 1 to 8 one by one, and the indicator of the remote test end should also flash from 1 to 8 one by one. If this is the case, it means that the connectivity of the straight-through line is no problem, otherwise it will have to be redone.
Test of staggered line connection: When testing the interleaved connection, the indicator of the main tester should also flash from 1 to 8 one by one, and the indicator of the remote test end should be according to 3, 6, 1, 4, 5, The order of 2, 7, and 8 shines one by one. If this is the case, there is no problem with interleaved connectivity, otherwise it will have to be redone.
If the line sequence at both ends of the network cable is incorrect, the indicators of the main tester will still flash from 1 to 8 one by one, except that the indicators on the remote test end will flash one by one in the order of the line numbers connected to the main test end. In other words, the remote test terminals cannot be flashed in the order of the above steps.
When there are 1 to 6 wires open, the corresponding wire number indicators of the main tester and the remote test end are not bright, and other lights can still flash one by one.
When there are 7 or 8 wires broken, the indicators of the main tester and the remote test end are all off.
Wire short circuit test phenomenonWhen there are two wires short-circuited, the indicator of the main tester will still flash one by one in the order from 1 to 8, and the corresponding indicators of the two short-circuit wires of the remote test terminal will be illuminated at the same time. When there are three or more wires short-circuited, the indicators of the main tester still flash from 1 to 8 one by one, and the corresponding indicators of all the short-circuit wires of the remote test end are not bright.
