Pass Apple will push iPhone to trade plan

Anonymous sources revealed that Apple has recently reached a cooperation with mobile phone distributor Brightstar, which will launch an iPhone trade-in program in the United States this month with the aim of stimulating users to upgrade to the latest iPhone 5, which will increase iPhone 5 sales. As for the recovery of the old models, Apple will be resold to overseas emerging markets, to ensure that the old iPhone will not eat the iPhone 5 sales in the United States.

It is the first time that Apple’s "renewal of old" plan is in Apple. Prior to this, Apple barely paid attention to the iPhone refurbished market. Perhaps the reason for Apple’s change in attitude is that its growth rate has slowed down in recent quarters, and its old rival Samsung surpassed Apple in May to become the nation’s best-selling smartphone.

Brightstar joined the trade-in business last year. In addition to Apple, its customers include AT&T and T-Mobile. 80% of Brightstar's recycled phones originate from the US market and are resold to more than 50 countries worldwide through distribution channels. Brightstar also owns an auction house in Hong Kong, China.
