Recently, it is reported that the joint venture company of China Transcend and Qualcomm reached a new virtual reality development platform based on Qualcomm Xiaolong 835 mobile platform - TurboXTM VR DK1 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
According to Zhongke Chuangda, the platform integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Virtual Reality Development Kit (VRDK) and self-developed technology innovations. It is equipped with 2560×1440 OLED screens, and uses 6DoF tracking, gesture recognition, eye tracking, and visual focus areas. Algorithms such as rendering can achieve delays less than 19 milliseconds and are compatible with third-party VR applications. This provides VR vendors with ways to achieve rapid volume production.

At the same time, Qualcomm announced the launch of a head-mounted display accelerator program designed for VR hardware OEMs to help manufacturers reduce project costs, shorten the time required to manufacture and ship new products, and provide OEMs with performance verification methods.
Hugo Swart, senior director of product management at Qualcomm, said that the TurboXTM VR DK1 will be a tool for OEMs and other ecosystem participants to rapidly manufacture high-quality products.
