The product integrates various dedicated processing engines and has the ultimate multimedia functions, such as full HD 1080p video recording, 30fps playback, and high-speed 3D graphics rendering, enabling complex 3D UI and advanced gaming experience. SH-Mobile Application Engine 4 adopts Renesas ’widely-approved image signal processor (ISP) technology and provides an advanced 16-megapixel ISP that can achieve the highest visual quality while also supporting full HD 1080p movie processing . The device is manufactured using Renesas Technology ’s optimized 45nm low-power process and integrates a large number of new and innovative power-saving mechanisms that can exceed the demanding power consumption budget of mobile phones.

The SH-Mobile Application Engine 4 is based on the ARM® Cortex ™ -A8 core and has a maximum operating frequency of 1GHz. In order to achieve the ultimate multimedia experience, SH-Mobile Application Engine 4 integrates a large number of dedicated processing engines. The integrated ISP supports 16 million pixel still images and full HD 1080p movie images. A dedicated high-performance multi-codec video processing unit for ultra-low-power video processing enables the device to support full HD 1080p multi-standard video use cases such as full HD 1080p video encoding (recording at 30 frames per second (fps)) ) And decoding (playback).
