State Grid actively promotes the integration and acceptance of new energy sources such as wind power in China

The vigorous development of new energy is a major strategic decision of the country, and it is also an objective requirement for the sustainable development of China's economy and society. In recent years, new energy sources such as wind power have developed rapidly in China. In June 2012, China's grid-connected wind power was 52.58 million kilowatts, which has replaced the United States as the world's largest wind power country. The State Grid has a grid-connected wind power of 50.26 million kilowatts, and the average annual growth rate since 2007 was 87.4%. State Grid has become the world's largest and fastest growing power grid connected to wind power.

In 2011, the national power grid dispatched a total of 70.6 billion kilowatt-hours of wind power, an increase of 28.2 times over 2006, and an average annual increase of 96%. From 2006 to 2011, the annual average utilization hours of wind power was 1992 hours, and in 2010 it reached 2,095 hours, which is roughly equivalent to that of Europe and the United States. The use of wind power in China has maintained a high level.

The wind power installed capacity in Mengdong, Mengxi, Gansu, and Weibei exceeds 5 million kilowatts, accounting for 22%, 21%, 20%, and 26% of the total installed capacity in the local area. The annual electricity generation rate of wind power accounts for 40% of the total. , 12%, 11%, 9%, and Denmark, Germany, Spain level.

Relying on the large power grid, the daily generation of wind power in Mengdong and Mengxi has reached a record high. The highest proportion of wind power generating capacity in Mengdong, Mengxi, Gansu and Weibei reaches 72%, 28%, 26%, and 20%, respectively. The proportion of wind power output in Mengdong, Mengxi, and Gansu has the largest proportion of electricity load. 106%, 33%, 31%, equivalent to Denmark and Spain. The capacity of China's large power grids to operate large wind power is already at the leading level in the world.

Since 2009, China's solar power has developed rapidly. As of June 2012, the grid-connected capacity of the State Grid Corporation of China was 2.51 million kilowatts, an increase of 5.4 times year-on-year. The power generation amounted to 1.53 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.9 times.

At present, the State Grid Corporation's regional grid-connected solar photovoltaic power generation is divided into two types: large-scale and decentralized (gold solar demonstration project and building photovoltaic integration). Grid-connected large-scale photovoltaic power station capacity accounts for about 85%, mainly concentrated in Qinghai, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang and other provinces, access 35 kV and above voltage level. The Golden Sun demonstration project is mainly connected to a power grid of 10 kV and below. The State Grid Corporation of China operates 354 grid-connected Golden Sun demonstration projects and currently applies for 157 grid-connected projects, accounting for 44%.

In July 2012, the National Energy Administration issued the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Wind Power Development” and the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Solar Power Generation”, which proposed the development goals and development layout for wind power and solar power generation in China from 2011 to 2015. And construction focus.

State Grid Corporation of China conducted a comprehensive and in-depth study of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for wind power and solar power generation, and proposed a power grid development plan that is compatible with wind power and solar energy development goals. From a local point of view, due to the limited size of the market, limited resources for peak shaving, insufficient cross-regional transmission capacity, and other factors, the further development of wind power in the “Three North” region faces the challenge of lacking space. From a national point of view, currently wind power accounts for only 5% of the total installed capacity of power sources, and the peak shaving resources in the eastern and central regions are relatively abundant, and the market potential of eliminating wind power is not fully realized.

In accordance with the development idea of “building a large base and integrating it into a large power grid”, the State Grid Corporation of China organized and completed transmission plans for all wind power bases, and “distribution of the first province, post-region, and then the whole country” arranged the market for wind power consumption, and proposed wind power bases in the province. The power grid construction plan and the external power consumption grid plan will plan the "Three North" wind power base and the "Three China" power market as a whole, and provide a comprehensive and complete implementation path for the realization of wind power development goals in China.

At present, the potential of the existing large-scale power grids to dispose and dissipate wind power has been fully utilized. To realize the new energy planning goals such as wind power in China, it is urgent to accelerate the construction of a number of cross-regional power grid projects. The UHV AC East Vertical, West Vertical and UHV DC Jiuquan-Hunan and Hamibei-Chongqing projects have mature conditions and in-depth preliminary work. The starting points are all integrated energy bases in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and so on. They both transport coal power and transport wind power. After these projects are completed, they will greatly promote the development and delivery of wind power bases in China.
