What are the types of resonant overvoltages?
Answer: Resonant overvoltage is divided into the following types:
(1) Linear resonant overvoltage
The resonant circuit consists of an inductive component without a core (such as the inductance of the transmission line, the leakage inductance of the transformer) or an inductive component with an excitation characteristic of a nearly linear core (such as an arc suppression coil) and a capacitive component in the system.
(2) Ferromagnetic resonance overvoltage
The resonant circuit consists of an inductive component with an iron core (such as an airborne transformer, a voltage transformer) and a capacitive component of the system. Due to the fullness of the core inductive component, the inductance parameter of the loop is linearly misaligned. This loop rich in nonlinear inductive components generates ferromagnetic resonance when a certain resonance condition is satisfied.
(3) Parameter resonance overvoltage
Inductive components that are periodically changed by inductance parameters (such as the synchronous reactance of salient-pole generators change between Kd and Kq) and system capacitive components (such as no-load lines) form a loop. When the parameters are matched, the periodicity of the inductor is passed. Change, constantly carrying energy to the resonant system, causing parametric resonance overvoltage.
