In the process of converting the alternating current into a standard form of direct current or alternating current and feeding it to the automobile battery, the normal current level in each level of the conversion system is a necessary condition for ensuring the safe and smooth charging process. The current sensor in the charging pile can accurately measure the current on the key system links, and timely discover and report internal abnormal conditions, such as leakage, to avoid safety accidents. In addition, another function of the current sensor is to accurately measure the amount of charge of the car to display for user reference and charge charge calculation.

Honeywell's CSN series closed-loop current sensors measure current magnitude based on magnetoresistance or Hall effect and zero-point balance or zero-flux methods (feedback systems). The magnetic flux in the sensor core is always controlled at zero. The amount of current required to balance the zero flux is equal to the primary current through the conductor multiplied by the turns ratio of the primary and secondary coils. Honeywell current sensor adopts through-hole design, and the output voltage is isolated from the input. It has the advantages of strong anti-overshoot capability, fast response, low energy consumption and linear output.
