Uber plans to acquire startup Luxe, which focuses on providing parking services

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: According to informed sources, Uber intends to acquire part of the team and technology of a parking service startup called Luxe in San Francisco, and the two sides are currently negotiating.

Luxe plans to sell some of its engineering team and technology behind its on-demand parking business. According to relevant media reports, company CEO Curtis Lee will not join Uber.

Uber declined to comment. Luxe did not respond to requests for comment from reporters.

In order to expand its service, Luxe, known as a blue jacketed parking lot, raised more than $75 million in funding, including a $50 million investment from the car rental company Hertz.

The company originally planned to provide on-demand parking. Just like calling a Uber car, customers can use the Luxe app to call a parker when they need to park. When customers arrive at their destination, whether they are dining at a restaurant or going to an office, Luxe can track where their car is.

But as the company began to acquire parking spaces, its business model has changed, and the company is becoming more and more like a traditional hospitality parking company. It eventually closed the on-demand parking application and announced a restructuring of the company. It plans to announce a different parking service later this summer.

Luxe is not the first on-demand service company to meet a variety of challenges as it grows. Another on-demand hospitality parking company called Zirx has closed its consumer parking business, focusing on serving corporate customers. Another startup called Carbon was completely shut down in 2015.

Lithium Iron Battery

Lithium Battery Technology. RELiON Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) are designed to outperform traditional lead-acid batteries on the road, on the water or off-the-grid. They offer more usable energy in a lightweight, no maintenance package that`s safe, reliable and worry-free.A lithium battery can be charged as fast as 1C, whereas a lead acid battery should be kept below 0.3C. This means a 10AH lithium battery can typically be charged at 10A while a 10AH lead acid battery can be charged at 3A. The charge cut-off current is 5% of the capacity, so the cutoff for both batteries would be 0.5A.Wherever you need efficient power-on the golf course, in the city or on the open sea, trust premium lithium iron phosphate batteries to deliver reliable performance every time. More range, less weight, LiFePO4 batteries help you do more, more, more. Take your environmental consciousness one step further storing energy with LiFePO4 technology. Please try again later.
