The ATEstar universal test platform adopts the versatility and multi-threaded design concept to develop a universal test platform management system. The specific implementation is divided into two parts: configuration and operation. The configuration includes functions such as data input definition and display storage definition. Overall architecture of ATEstar Universal Test Platform

It consists of three parts: the ATML test document description tool, the XML description file, and the general test system software. Different ATML test document description tools encapsulate relevant test information and configurations into XML description files that meet the ATML standard. For example, the test document description tool refers to Test DescripTIon.xsd as the main document, and a file named "Test Description.xml" is generated to describe the information related to the test task. When the universal test system software runs, the loaded xml file is first parsed into high-level code (for example, C, Basic) of the programming language, and then the corresponding operation is performed using the built-in compilation system of the development environment. Since the universal test system software can automatically match the test requirements with the instrument capabilities, the test resources can be allocated by operating the switch matrix, thereby achieving a signal-oriented software architecture and improving the interchangeability of the test instruments.
