China will vigorously promote the development of sensor network standards

The reporter learned from the Ninth Plenary Session of the National Sensor Network Standards Working Group on the 15th that at present, the working group has completed public consultation on the six national standards, and in the future, it will vigorously promote the development of new technologies for sensor networks and speed up the transformation of research results. The Internet of Things mainly implements information exchange and communication between items and items through the perception layer, transmission layer, and processing layer. In order to make breakthroughs in the core technology of the Internet of Things as soon as possible, the National Sensor Network Standards Working Group was formally established in 2009 with the approval of the National Standardization Management Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is responsible for organizing research and drafting of sensor network related standards.

As of December, the working group had 110 member units, set up 13 project teams, and set up a new agricultural application research project group to propose a research plan for the application of sensor networks in agriculture and carry out specific research work.

At present, the working group has completed the solicitation of public opinions on six national standards such as "Sensor Network Part 1: General Rules". These standards specify the overall functional requirements and architecture of the sensor network, and standardize sensor network terms, sensor interfaces in the sensor network, and so on.

According to the person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, these standards will provide a reliable guarantee for the development of China's sensor network technology, and will play a positive role in promoting independent innovation and influence of standards. At present, the revised standards will be submitted to relevant departments for approval.
