Design can not only change life, but also change the world. In this ever-changing era, technology is a hard condition for development, and design penetrates into every corner of people's lives with soft power. With the development of lighting technology and the development of LED technology, the application of LED lighting in daily life has become more and more common. How to develop and design excellent LED lighting products, firmly attract customers' attention, and quickly seize market opportunities, has become the goal that every lighting design worker has tried to achieve.

Chengdu is known as the “land of abundanceâ€, and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is the link between Tianfu’s country and the rest of the world. The T2 terminal building of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (hereinafter referred to as “Chengdu Airport New Terminal Buildingâ€) started construction in 2009 and was basically completed in April 2012. During this period, the author was fortunate to participate in the lighting design of the interior hardcovering project of the T2 terminal of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and the whole process of R&D, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of LED lighting. In this process, as the designer, we are in the same direction as the users, and carry out in-depth communication and discussion on the relationship between the building and lighting of the terminal building. We really feel the user's demand for lighting and LED lighting products. At the same time, I also have a sense of the development direction of LED lighting design. Combining its many years of LED lighting product design and R&D experience, the author believes that the design of modern LED lighting fixtures has the following development characteristics and trends:
First, green lighting, energy-saving lighting design has become the primary task of lighting design and LED lighting design
With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, people's pursuit of quality of life is getting higher and higher. Similarly, lighting is not limited to the brightness of visual effects. As the fourth generation of light source in the process of human illumination, LED has unparalleled advancement compared with traditional illumination sources. It is not only a subversive difference in luminous mechanism and luminous efficiency, but also far more important than this. Yes, the impact of LED lighting on global energy consumption and on the global climate, these two factors that are vital to human survival, have been reduced at an unprecedented rate.
In the 21st century of technological explosion, global politics and economy are rapidly changing. Energy and climate issues have become the hot issues of national development, and lighting is the meeting point of these two issues. In the energy consumption rankings, lighting ranked first, accounting for about 25%. At present, the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea and other major economic countries have introduced the traditional light source elimination directive policy and LED lighting popularization program, and China is no exception. This year, an announcement has been issued that incandescent light bulbs will be gradually banned.

On this issue, the direction chosen by the state and the enterprise is the same. At the beginning of the Chengdu Airport project, it was clear that the indoor lighting of the new terminal building will use LED lighting, so that the cost of electricity in the operating costs of the entire airport can be greatly reduced. However, under the premise of using LED light source, how to further improve the energy-saving lighting of the lamp? This is a new topic in front of us, and it is also a question worthy of deep thinking in the design and development of LED lighting.
In the interior decoration project of the new terminal building of Chengdu Airport, for the downlight products, the requirement of using LED light source ≥110 lm/W and the whole lighting efficiency ≥65 lm/W is clearly proposed. It is a very high indicator requirement, which is also the technical level that LED light source has been developed in the last one or two years.

In the design and development process of the LED lighting of the new terminal of Chengdu Airport, all our designs are carried out around the main line of how to improve the light efficiency of the products. From the design, testing and analysis of the power supply, the selection of the LEDs, the arrangement of the arrays, The requirements of the haze of the light board, the color of the silk screen font on the PCB, are conscientious, meticulous, and do our utmost to improve the light efficiency. Finally, tested by a third-party testing agency, the most typical downlight - round embedded downlight, the overall lighting efficiency of up to 73.26 lm / W, exceeding the requirements of Chengdu Airport 65 lm / W up to more than 10 percentage points.

Higher luminous LED lighting means that the power of LED luminaires can be reduced, which means that the lighting energy consumption of the entire airport can be further reduced. Take the circular embedded downlight as an example. The original power of Chengdu Airport is 21W, the rated luminous flux is 1170 lm, the measured luminous flux is 1282.08 lm, the power is only 17.5W, which is 3.5W lower than the original 21W. Calculated from the entire airport operation, the total number of lamps is 10,000 sets, assuming an average of 12H per day, the power saved:
3.5W *10000 sets*12H *365 days/year=153,300,000WH=153300 degrees
According to the average price of Chengdu electricity price of 1.2 yuan / kWh, the equivalent cost is about 180,000 yuan / year. What's more important is the carbon emissions, environmental pollution and climate impact behind the savings of 180,000 yuan per year. This has far-reaching significance for enterprises, for regions and for the country.
Second, the visual perception of the overall architectural environment is still the customer's first choice
The lighting level of the airport building has clear illumination, glare and color rendering requirements in the national standard GB50043-2004 Architectural Lighting Design Standard. However, for the customer, it is not enough to meet the requirements of the standard. The actual lighting design must be closely combined with the working nature, population range, building structure and other factors in different areas of the building to give the customer a good Visual experience, gaining customer recognition.

Good visual effects depend on the excellent design of the overall lighting project and the excellent performance of the lighting fixtures. In the lighting scheme provided for Chengdu Airport, Jiuzhou Optoelectronics made a detailed simulation analysis of the lighting schemes in each functional area, using lighting simulation calculation software, respectively for the hall, security checkpoint, corridor, maternal and child waiting room, bathroom The lighting arrangement of the lamps in different areas, the type of lamps, the luminous flux of the lamps, the light distribution curve, etc. have been carefully designed. For example, the personnel in the security inspection area need to be highly focused, so the 5000K cold white color and the higher are adopted. Illumination, corridors and other areas of the lighting use 4000K natural white mild and low illumination. While meeting the functional requirements, it also takes into account many details and humanized design concepts, such as: the lobby and the waiting room have a large space, in order to avoid glare caused by a large number of lamps on the ceiling, a large number of indirect lighting is used. If using a light bar for side lighting. The maternal and child waiting room, bathroom and other places use 3000K warm white mild and low power and illumination, the lighting is also more uniform and soft, to improve passenger comfort, satisfaction, and more suitable for people's physical and Psychological needs.

In the Chengdu airport lighting scheme, the application of LED as a light source, combined with the application of optical materials such as high reflection and high transmittance mask in the lamp, LED lamps can achieve much higher luminous efficiency than traditional lamps. In addition, the intelligent control of the lighting system, through the photosensitive detector, according to the acquired ambient light level combined with the control system to adjust the lighting switch and brightness adjustment of a specific area, can achieve the higher level of demand for on-demand lighting and secondary energy saving.
Third, the LED lighting style must be compatible with the architectural, to the art
In the new airport project of Chengdu Airport, we communicated with customers through indoor lighting, and finally determined five products, as shown below:

From the styling of the luminaires, the straight and right angles are very simple and tough. The overall appearance is very simple, simple and clear, with a very strong modern atmosphere, and is matched with the modern and technological atmosphere of the terminal building itself. very suitable. From the appearance of the luminaire's appearance, the parts that can be seen after installation are mainly silvery and ivory, which can be well integrated with the built environment, and it is also generous and high-grade. The front side of the circular embedded downlight is specially designed with a pure black step, which not only produces a strong visual impact contrast, but also has a better anti-glare effect. In addition, Chengdu Airport's pursuit of the details of the product is perfect, the surface is painted evenly and finely, the matte white outside the translucent panel, the panel light is forbidden to expose any screws, etc., all are dedicated to the complete integration of LED lamps and the environment. Make LED lamps a perfect piece of art.
In addition to the almost stringent requirements for the appearance of the luminaire, Chengdu Airport has placed very high requirements on the installation and festival of the luminaire. The installation of cylindrical mounted downlights must ensure that the luminaires can be precisely adjusted within a certain range of X, Y and Z directions, and that the luminaires are completely perpendicular to the ground after installation, and that no installed parts screws can be seen. . The installation and adjustment conditions of the panel light are even more irritating - the width of the luminaire is 150mm, and it is installed in a narrow-shaped ceiling with a width of 170mm. The surface of the illuminating surface and the bottom of the ceiling are required to be adjusted to be completely in the same plane. Any installed parts, screws. These demanding conditions really bring challenges to our luminaire design. After the conception and step-by-step experiment of multiple programs, screening and screening, and finally achieved smoothly.

In the interior lighting design of the new terminal building of Chengdu Airport, we not only communicate, discuss, research and solve various problems among the customers, but also the designers of the architectural design institute, the project manager and the installer of the on-site construction unit. Through this unique and arduous design, we lived up to a grand scale of lighting project, completed a journey to achieve green energy-saving lighting, completed a new and perfect artistic product, completed a light, A beautiful world built by love.
