On Semi's FAN65005A is a high-performance 65V/8A voltage-mode synchronous PWM buck regulator. It integrates high-side and low-side power MOSFETs. It supports voltages from 4.5V to 65V and can handle continuous currents up to 8A. The device also includes high-performance PowerTrenchR MOSFET, controller and driver, 0.67% accuracy reference voltage 0.6V, programmable switching frequency from 100kHz to 1MHz, high-performance 6 mm x 6 mm PQFN package, mainly used in high-voltage POL modules, communication base station power supplies, network computing, and batteries Management system and USB-PD and industrial automation, power tools and slot machines (gambling equipment). FAN65005A includes a 0.67% accurate reference voltage to achievetight regulation. The switching frequency can be programmed from 100 kHz to 1 MHz. To improve efficiency at light load condition, thedevice can be set to discontinuous conduction mode with pulseskipping operation.
FAN65005A has dual LDOs to minimize power loss and integrated current sense circuit that provides cycle−by−cycle current limiting.
