PMC-Sierra's RF series chips integrate multiple direct down-conversion RF transceivers, transmitter baluns, analog-to-digital converters, and Jedec standard baseband digital interfaces. On the basis of such RF chips, OEMs can add a power amplifier and a baseband media access controller to produce an IEEE WiMax standard that can support 802.16e-2005 and 802.16-2004, and the channel bandwidth range is 3.5-20 MHz.
