In field use, it is sometimes necessary to connect a touch screen to the Profibus-DP network, which can be achieved through the PB-B-MODBUS module. The following is a brief introduction to the implementation process, I hope to help you (to connect eView touch screen as an example).
1. Network architecture:
In the Profibus-DP network, Siemens plc (with DP communication function) is used as the DP master station, and PB-B-MODBUS is used as the DP slave station. In addition, on the Modbus network side, eView (for the MT4400T as an example) touch screen is used as the Modbus Master. PB-B-MODBUS is used as Modbus Slave. (As shown in Figure 1-1)

2. Profibus network configuration process: (In this example, WinLC is used instead of hard PLC as DP master. Of course, users can select DP master according to actual situation)
Here is a brief introduction to the process of adding a PB-B-MODBUS DP slave and some considerations.
(1) After importing the GSD file corresponding to the module (PB-B-MS/V32) into Step7, refresh the classification table in the "HW Config....." (Update Catalog), and then look in the category bar on the right. .
(2) Configure the PB-B-MODBUS module on the DP network. Here, assign a DP slave address to the module, and dial the DIP switch on the module to the corresponding value. Then enter the parameter configuration page, set the parameters of the serial communication (this setting works in the communication of Modbus), and set the station number of the Modbus slave at the same time. Since the PB-B-MODBUS module is Modbus Slave on the Modbus side, SW1 on the back of the module should be set to the slave mode (see the manual of PB-B-MODBUS for details). (As shown in Figure 2-1)
(3) Finally, insert the required communication data module in the slot. 8 bits in (0 × × × ×), 8 bits out (1 × × × ×), 3 words in (4 × × × ×), and 3 words out (3 × × × ×) are added to the routine.

Membrane Switch Assemblies

A membrane switch consists of various layers laminated together. The layers of a basic membrane switch construction include: a membrane overlay, spacer, printer circuit, rear adhesive, and tail filler. Depending on the environment and requirements of the application into which the membrane switch plugs into, the construction can vary.
