US rooftop solar project brings business opportunities to China

Solar panels are to be installed on the roofs of 28 buildings in the United States. It is estimated that 10,000 construction and manufacturing jobs will be created. The power generation is 733 megawatts, which can be used by 100,000 families during peak hours. The United States Bank of America plans to invest US$20 billion in renewable energy, environmental protection and other cleantech technologies. This rooftop solar energy project is part of this plan. Bank of America has named this project the "Ampere Project," which will be completed in the next four years and will generate approximately half the energy of a nuclear reactor.

However, solar energy has been promoted in the United States, and generous government subsidies are important reasons. With the help of federal, state, and local governments, the cost of a solar system can often receive a 50% subsidy. It is reported that this project has a total cost of 2.6 billion U.S. dollars, and the U.S. Department of Energy promised to provide a loan guarantee of 1.4 billion U.S. dollars on the 22nd.
